About
National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) was established in the year 2010 by an act of parliament and has been declared as an Institute of National importance. It is an autonomous Institute which aims to provide instructions and research facilities in various disciplines of Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities for advanced learning.
The mission of NIT Delhi is to produce human resources those who are creative, competitive and innovative with high intellect and ethical values. The Institute is imparting holistic education along with inculcating high moral values in its students. The various departments of NITD are Applied Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed 12th (10+2) with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks with Physics, Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology.
- For SC/ST students the minimum passing aggregate would be 65% in 12th.
- Candidates must have qualified JEE Mains Exam with a good rank as per the cut off to get a seat here.
Admission Procedure
- Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Mains).
- Candidates must have participated in JoSAA Counseling or CSAB Special Round counseling.
- Shortlisted candidates will be further called for Physical or Online Reporting at the allotted college.
Facilities
- The computer centre of the Institute is equipped with the latest state of the art Technological Resources. It monitors the computer network at the institute and manages the overall computer facilities of the whole institute.
- The Central Library has a rich collection of books on science & technology. Approximately 14756 printed books ,22 magazines and general reference books are available here.
- The sports section of the Institute has outdoor as well as indoor games facilities. The courts and grounds are made here to play certain games to help in the all round development of the students.
- The classrooms are well structured keeping all the requirements and technology in mind. These are equipped with electric projector screens apart from the basic necessities of a classroom.
- There are eight fully equipped labs which provide controlled conditions for conducting research, experiments and measurements.
- The hostel facility is available for boys and girls both which can accommodate 430 students currently.
- Free bus facility is also available for day scholars as well the hostellers.
Placements
The Training and Placement Cell of NITD is helping out students to touch great heights and grab outstanding opportunities. The number of recruiters in 2021 was approx 75 in which a CSE student grabbed the highest placement package by Adobe as per the latest statistics. The average placement has also taken a jump by 0.7 LPA in 2021 as compared to 2020.
