Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Raichur

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Raichur is one of the new IIITs proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2019 under the Public-Private Partnership model. It’s a technical and research university located in Karnataka. The institute is being set-up with the financial contribution of Ministry of Education, Government of India and Government of Karnataka.

IIIT Raichur started with its first batch of Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering under the mentorship of the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) .Currently, IIIT Raichur does not have a campus of its own so presently it is functioning from the IIT Hyderabad campus.

Admission Procedure:

  • Candidates must have to take JEE Main Examination. 
  • Admissions are done on the basic of rank in JEE Main examination through JoSAA counseling and CSAB special round.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology and Technical vocational subject, any one of these as an optional subject with minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates). 
  • Candidates with category wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective board examination can also eligible. 

IIIT Raichur Cut-offs 2020:

IIIT Raichur offers a four-year B.Tech programe at the UG level. Admission to the programe is based on JEE Main rank, followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counseling and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) special round counseling. The institute-specific qualifying cut-off is announced after the declaration of JEE Main 2020 result to manage the seat allotment process. The seat allotment process is based on the college cut-off and the candidate’s preference for courses and colleges. The cut-offs are generally declared in seven rounds of JoSAA Counseling based on opening and closing ranks for each of the programe-specific specializations. In 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic there is only 6 rounds conducted in JoSAA counseling. The last round of JoSSA counseling cut-offs mention below-

IIIT Raichur Placements 2020:

IIIT Raichur is one of the newest IIITs, has started its academic session in 2019 so its first batch has not graduated yet and hence, we do not have the placement status. We will update the placement information as soon as the first placement season begins at this college.

Infrastructure & Campus:

IIIT Raichur has not its own campus yet, currently the college is running inside the campus of IIT Hyderabad.  College provide hostel facility which is very good as compared to other hostels. They provide us with enough electricity, water and other benefits like Wi-Fi and many sports facilities like cricket kit, volleyball ground and many more. There is a huge library with numbers of books. The college has canteen also which proved quality of food the students.

Faculty:

Faculty members of this institute are very talented. They all are well qualified and they provide knowledge which is helpful for the students not in academic only as well as future examinations. All the faculty members are very co-operative towards the students.
