About

The National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa) is a premier technical Institute in the region. NIT Goa was established in the year 2010 by an act of parliament (NIT act 2007) and it is declared as ‘Institute of National Importance.NIT Goa is an autonomous institute which is located in Farmagudi, Ponda in Goa. The Institute offers undergraduate courses in Five Engineering Departments. The mission of this NIT is to strive for quality faculty, good students, and excellent infrastructure. The Institute admits students into the B.Tech. degree program on the basis of ranks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Mains) and the scheme of Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA).

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 12th (10+2) with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks with Physics, Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology.
• For SC/ST students the minimum passing aggregate would be 65% in 12th.
• Candidates must have qualified JEE Mains Exam with a good rank as per the cut off to get a seat here. 

Admission Procedure

• Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Mains).
• Candidates must have participated in JoSAA Counseling or CSAB Special Round counseling.
• Shortlisted candidates will be further called for Physical or Online Reporting at the allotted college.

Facilities

• The Library focuses on developing a qualitative collection with the books, journals, digital documents and magazines.
• The Institute provides hostel facilities to outstation students with shared accommodation in the campus and may be in a rented building which is very near to the campus. 
• The hostels are provided with the basic amenities like mess and Wi-Fi internet connectivity
• NIT Goa has highly qualified faculty from IITs, NITs and reputed universities.
•  All the classrooms are modernized with projector and required electronic equipment.
• There are well established laboratories in all the existing departments .
• The campus consists of sufficient class rooms and laboratories in each department.
