About:

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Nagpur is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under not-for-profit under Public-Private Partnership model in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The funding partners are The Government of Maharashtra and TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Mumbai.

The institute started functioning from its temporary campus at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s Regional Telecom Training Centre. It offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering & Computer Science & Engineering. It is being mentored by Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur.

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates must have to take JEE Main Examination. 
• Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE Main Examination through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology and Technical vocational subject in IIIT Nagpur, any one of these as an optional subject with minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates with category-wise Top 20 percentile in his/her respective board examination can also eligible. 

IIIT Nagar Cut-off 2020:

IIIT Nagpur offers a four-year B.Tech programe at the UG level. Admission to the programe is based on JEE Main rank, followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) special round counseling. The institute-specific qualifying cut-off is announced after the declaration of JEE Main 2020 result to manage the seat allotment process.

The seat allotment process is based on the college cut-off and the candidate’s preference for courses and colleges. The cut-offs are generally declared in seven rounds of JoSAA Counselling based on opening and closing ranks for each of the program-specific specializations. In 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are only 6 rounds conducted in JoSAA Counseling. The last round of JoSAA Counselling cut-off mentions below.

Infrastructure & Campus:

This campus is spread over 100 acres, and high-speed Wi-Fi is available all over the campus.  The college has separate hostels for girls and boys both. IIIT Nagpur Labs have equipment that is sufficient to meet the demands of the students. The library has books but only related to subjects and streams. The mess is good and provides good quality of food. The medical facility is also here, a doctor is available every day during the evening. The college has a badminton court, gym, table tennis, and 2 small grounds.

Faculty:

All the teachers of IIIT Nagpur are Ph.D. holders and are having a good knowledge of their fields. There are many guest faculty members from VNIT Nagpur. The course curriculum is well updated and consists of important subjects only. The Faculty members are very supportive, students can share their doubts regarding academic and career with them and they provide the best guidance.
